Noemi a newspaper reporter has fallen asleep and missed her train stop. She is awakened by Gerado who asks her to join him for a drink. At a café he tells her that he is attending his father’s funeral and invites her to accompany him.

During the funeral she learns that his father’s death was a murder. She is approached by a village elder who begs her for help in investigating the crime. Unable to quell her reporter instincts Noemi dives headfirst into the case and begins to unravel a bizarre tale of murder for profit, sibling rivalry and the revival of an urban myth mired in the supernatural a myth that has haunted the town for decades!
